Jesus: Coming Soon

Do you believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that Jesus is coming back soon?

I know I do.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

– Matthew 24:26

My friend recently told me of a theology theory: When Israel signs a treaty, that’s a sign that God is coming back. Satan will try to deceive us by pretending to be a miracle worker but really causing havoc among the world. Then, God will come back, and take us to Heaven. We will fight against Satan, and we will win. Good will triumph over evil.

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

I’m not completely sure of this theory. It might be a false one, or a just a misunderstanding.

“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

–  Revelation 22:12-13
But I am completely sure of one thing.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

 – John 14:3

Jesus is coming back.

And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates.

-Matthew 24:31-33

Prepare your hearts for His return. Spread His love across the universe. Learn kindness, compassion, honesty. Live by the Ten Commandments. But the most important of these is spreading His Love.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

-Revelation 1:8

Prepare your hearts.

Spread His Word.

Obey His commands.

He’s coming soon.

What is Worship??

Worship: reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or toany object regarded as sacred.
Worship is a way of praising God for all of His amazing things that He did and does for us. He is amazing! 1 Chronicles 16:23 says:
23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.

Worship night is one of my most favorite church events of the year!! We sing songs and pray prayers and take communion and remember all that God has done for us. Look for me, it’s pretty easy – I’m the one who’s dancing my heart out and everyone’s staring at me. XD Psalms 86:9 also proclaims:

9 All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.
Honor GOD, not idols. Honor HIM, not the photo or statue of Him. And most importantly, pull an Emmie and don’t worry about what other people think when you’re worshiping. 😉 The LORD deserves your full self!!

Profanity and Christianity

Hi! Today I am going to be talking about why swearing is a bad idea. Some people might think that it makes them seem cool, or grown-up, but swearing is sin! Especially if you are using it to put the Lord’s name in vain or insult His Creation, cursing is not okay!

Standing Firm in My Faith-2

Did you know?

When you are insulting another person, whether if they are Christian or not, or if they’re nice or not, you’re insulting God–because all the Earth is God’s Creation! (E.g. By calling someone or something ugly, then you are saying that God’s Masterpiece is ugly!)

Standing Firm in My Faith-2

Let’s take a look at James 3.

Taming the Tongue

Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

Standing Firm in My Faith-2

James 3:1-2 means that many Christians back down from becoming spiritual leaders and teachers because their sin will be judged more harshly and their faults examined more closely. But we shouldn’t let the fear of being judged keep us from having a good relationship with God and being able to spread the Good News! We are all humans, which means we are imperfect. When Jesus died for us, He set us free. That doesn’t mean that we are free to sin, though–it means that we are free from sin.Standing Firm in My Faith-2

James 3:3-6 means that the tongue can stir up trouble if it is not guided carefully. Being mean, critical, and/or bossy can lead to lost friendships, and saying something mean can ruin entire relationships. Arguments, bringing up old rivalries, trash talking, are also variations of swearing.Standing Firm in My Faith-2

James 3:7-8 means that no matter how hard we try, mean things might still slip out. It portrays the tongue as a villain, a monstrous beast waiting for just the right moment to pounce and ruin everything.Standing Firm in My Faith-2

James 3:9-12 means that one moment, we’re complimenting someone about how well they did during a sports game, and the next we’re yelling and trash talking at the other team. It’s like our words have split personalities–utterly confusing! You may be unkind to one person but show lovingness and kindness to another. But God’s Word tells us that we should love everyone equally, and speak about them in that way. We shouldn’t let curses and swear words come out of our mouths, for James 3:10 says: “My brothers and sisters, this should not be!”Standing Firm in My Faith-2

Now that we’ve looked at James 3, let’s talk about hands-down, four-letter word, #@%! cursing*, and look at whether or not it matches up with Christianity.

What is profanity?→ The dictionary defines the word “profane” as “characterized by irreverence or contempt for God; irreligious.” and “unholy; heathen; pagan.”

What is Christianity?→ The dictionary defines Christian as “human, not brutal, humane.” and “a person who exemplifies in his or her life the teachings of Jesus Christ.”Standing Firm in My Faith-2

Judging by these two definitions, do you think that profanity matches up with Christianity? Not at all! Remember the teachings of James 3, and watch what you say!

Finding Joy in Everyday Things

Take a moment to count your blessings.

First of all, you are blessed to be alive in the first place, to know God’s Truth, and to have food on your plate and clothes on your backs. But as humans we are dissatisfied with our belongings, and look to other things, and become jealous of everyone’s cool new iPhone X or the newest car or that VR helmet. These things can become obsessions, and maybe even idols.

What is an idol? An idol is anything and everything you put before God. Idols can be anything from possessions to legit statues that you worship to, and God forbids them.

Let’s take a look at Exodus 20:3: “You shall have no other gods before me.”

So, instead of letting our jealousy or over-admiration of worldly things become idols, we should strive to find positivity and gratefulness in very day.

Have you ever thought your day was boring? With God, no day is boring. Here are three methods to finding joy in everyday things:

Standing Firm in My Faith-2

Method #1: Count your blessings

Like said above, counting your blessings is a great way to turn a boring day in to a good one. And guess what–the list is endless! There are so many under-appreciated, taken-for-granted things that we are so lucky to have. Take a look around you–there is always, always something to be thankful for!

Standing Firm in My Faith-2

Method #2: Spend time with God

Take a moment to stop and pray. Spending time with Him can boost your confidence, recharge your spirit, and get you through the day, no matter what is going on! It does;t have to be a chunk of time you take out of your day that you dread like chore, but just an impromptu, five-minute prayer sessions perfect, as long as you enjoy it.

” data-hasqtip=”1″>Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.

Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

Standing Firm in My Faith-2Method #3: Read your Bible

The solution to everything-READ YOUR BIBLE! There are sine great verses above. Try using the BibleApp, which lets you choose an emoticon of your feelings and gives you a list of verses to read according to your mood!

Thanks for reading! Have a blessed day, lovely!
